it has been so long since i kept a blog that i almost don't know what to do with myself. i don't know why i've decided to begin blogging again but i am.
it may just be an insomnia outlet. so yea.
i've been toying with the idea of learning a foreign language for a few years now and i recently found that i-tunes has some pretty cool language tracks. i spent the better part of the last hour learning how to say "i want a coffee" in Japaneses. the sad truth is that i will forget it by tomorrow. i have managed to learn a few phrases in Gaelic over the last couple of years. there is THIS great site set up by the BBC that has some awesome phrases and some cool songs written in Gaelic by those who have been learning over the years. i don't really think i will have much success learning a full language. i don't think it is something i am meant to do. i do however want to learn as many phrases in random languages as i can. i quite enjoy saying goodbye in Japanese or goodnight in Italian. even if it does make me seem pretentious.
the internet has been disappointing me lately with its lack of specific information on specific topics easily searched via Google. my late-night wandering of random sites in search of random questions has ended with no joy. i'm sure it's just my poor choice of search words. *sigh*
